Your GDPR Rights
Effective 11 July 2026
If a restaurant uses Tavolo to take your call, order or booking, you have the following rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
Your rights
Access — a copy of the data held about you. Rectification — correct inaccurate data. Erasure — have your data deleted ("right to be forgotten"). Restriction & objection — limit or object to processing. Portability — receive your data in a portable form. Withdraw consent — for the call recording, at any time.
Call recording
In Germany and the EU a call may only be recorded with your consent. At the start of every call the AI host tells you the call may be recorded and that you can decline — if you decline, we continue without recording and still take your booking or order.
How to exercise your rights
Ask the restaurant directly, or email hello@tavolo.io and we will route your request to the right restaurant (the controller) and assist it in responding. We aim to respond within one month.
Retention & deletion
Data is kept only as long as the restaurant's retention window; after that, customer records are erased and transcripts/recordings redacted. A deletion request removes your data ahead of that window.
Complaints
You can lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority — in Germany, your state (Land) Data Protection Commissioner.
This is a good-faith summary for Tavolo's pilot, not legal advice. Questions or data requests: hello@tavolo.io.
